Samsung Galaxy S III [ Review ]

galaxy s3The wait is over! Now you can grab your own Samsung Galaxy S III in India. It made its Indian debut on May 31, 2012. This new arrival from Samsung is expected to be more popular than its predecessor. All the features of Samsung Galaxy S3 are super cool but potential buyers may get disappointed by its price tag. But I think that won’t stop them from buying. This new smart phone targets all ranges of people not particularly Youngsters or Professionals. It is “designed for humans”.



Basic Features

Powered by Android 4.o (Ice-Cream Sandwich). It is the second phone from Samsung that comes pre-loaded with Android ICS Operating System.

Display and UI- The display is 4.8 inch HD(1280X720) Super AMOLED capacitive touch Screen. It uses TouchWiz UI v4.0

Memory- Internal memory in ranges of 16/32/64 GB storage and 1GB RAM. External storage through microSD card upto 64 GB.

Battery- Battery backup of 11 hr 40 min in 3G network and 21 hr 40 min in 2G network by Standard Li-Ion 2100mAh

Camera- Back: 8 Mega Pixel camera with Auto-focus and LED flash. Face and smile detection, touch focus make it more worthy. Front: 1.9 Mega Pixel Camera.

Colors- Marble White and Pebble Blue

Miscellaneous Basic features WiFi, GPS, Bluetooth, HD recording, Simultaneous Video and Image recording, Swype typing                                             


Special Features

Now we can see the intelligent features that make Samsung Galaxy S III special.

Smart Stay- The phone will display bright till you take your eyes off it. interesting isn’t it. As long as you look into the phone, it will maintain a bright display.

Direct Call- Suppose if you are messaging a friend and want to call instead, then just move the phone to your ears and it will call your friend immediately.

Smart Alert- S III will detect when you are away from the phone. Vibrating Alert will let you know whether you got any missed calls or messages.

S Voice- Yep! You can control your phone with your voice. It responds to your voice. It will do what you ask it to do, right from setting alarm to taking pictures.

Social Tag- A glance at your friend’s photo taken in your S III will let you know about their current Social Network and contact status.

S Beam- Keep two Samsung Galaxy S III back to back to transfer photos, videos, musics and other files.

Buddy Photo Share- It detects the faces of your friends in the photographs and you can easily mail the photos to  your friends in just a click.

AllShare Cast- You can beam your photos, videos even the games which you are playing on to the big screen with your phone acting as the controller.

Best Photo- In continuous photo shots, it will automatically choose the best out of the shots and gives you the “Best Photo”


The sensors in Samsung Galaxy S III - Accelerometer,  Barometer, Gyrometer, RGB sensor, Proximity, Compass.


The price of Samsung Galaxy S III is high. It is priced around Rs. 43,180 [ US $768 ]

With powerful, intelligent features built into it, we can expect that Samsung Galaxy S III will be another worthy competitor from Samsung.

    These are amazing characteristics, this phone will be huge success too.
    I just don’t like the new look, S II have have better look.

    Great phone no doubt about that..but the design. Something better could be done with the design. Of course, its hardware is very powerful but the outlook must have been better than SII.
    Costly, yes but I have a feeling it might be worth it !
